Dr. Jill Wade of Stonebriar Smile Design in Frisco, Texas has been a practicing dentist for nearly 26 years. Intensely passionate about dentistry, she began her education in Dallas, Texas at Baylor College of Dentistry, now known as Texas A&M, for which she jokingly refers to herself as a “Baggie” to honor both names of her alma mater.

Acquiring her education during the “golden years” of cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Wade considers herself “super, super lucky” to have been part of the Advanced Education of General Dentistry program (AEGD), where she got to study, learn, and coordinate with all of the other specialties at the school, including oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and many others.

That education cultivated the philosophies for which she applies in her everyday practice of dentistry where “form follows function” in a way that is “very functional and very cosmetic,” so you not only get a smile that looks really beautiful but is also highly functional, doing everything you need it to without breaking. While learning the cosmetic aspects of dentistry, Dr. Jill Wade also learned how to evaluate your face, smile, and skeletal features to actually design a custom smile to suit your unique features.

As a dentist, Dr. Wade thinks of you as more than a patient, more than just your teeth, she considers you as you are: a whole person, not just parts and pieces, but an individual who needs care for their entire self, not just their teeth. Each of the four talented doctors at Stonebriar Smile Design operates under this same philosophy, along with a host of other staff, including dental assistants and registered dental hygienists. Dr. Wade likes to take a “step back” and consider more than what she sees in your mouth but what is the root cause of the issues you may be having. Often taking cues from her personal life and experiences, especially where healthcare is concerned, she analyzes what she sees and pairs it with the information you provide about your life, lifestyle, and significant events, ensuring nothing is overlooked. From there, she creates a treatment plan specifically tailored to you and your circumstances to produce the most favorable outcome according to your needs and desires.

Driven by this passion to provide comprehensive care and share her knowledge, Dr. Jill Wade, together with Dr. Kelly Martin, published a book entitled Address the Stress: A Relevant Guide to the Oral Systemic Link (2011). Dr. Wade’s methodologies and principles of practice remain the same, and as times and technology changes, she evolves, implementing that evolving knowledge and advanced technology into her practice, meaning you directly benefit from these improvements. She is constantly seeking ways to improve your health and dental care, partnering with esteemed researchers and scientists such as the BaleDoneen Method, created by Dr. Bradley Bale and Dr. Amy Doneen, and procuring a preceptorship in the BaleDoneen Method of Heart Attack, Stroke, and Diabetes Prevention, which is “a science-based methodology that is medically proven and accepted to both prevent and reverse heart attacks, strokes, and many other chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, dementia, kidney disease, and erectile dysfunction to name a few.”(1)

Beyond dentistry and authorship, Dr. Jill Wade is also a business owner, podcast host, mother to twin girls, and matron of a blended family, which includes her husband and four (additional) daughters—that’s six daughters, if you’re keeping count. She also has a substantial list of career-defining accomplishments and publications, and she’s not done yet!
