Dr. Jill Wade and Stonebriar Smile Design

By Stonebriar Smile Design

A philosophy shaped by lifelong learning

For Dr. Jill Wade, dentistry has always been about more than treating individual teeth. Her work at Stonebriar Smile Design brings together clinical experience, advanced education, careful listening, and a whole-person view of health.

Thoughtful care begins with understanding the person behind the smile.

After earning her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry—now part of Texas A&M University—Dr. Wade completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. That training strengthened her ability to consider complex cases from several perspectives and collaborate across dental disciplines.

Form, function, and the whole person

Dr. Wade often returns to the principle that form follows function. A beautiful smile should not be designed in isolation: facial features, tooth proportions, bite relationships, comfort, and long-term stability all help shape a responsible treatment plan.

This approach means looking beyond a single symptom. Stonebriar Smile Design considers how oral health may relate to breathing, sleep, inflammation, nutrition, and overall wellness, while working with a patient’s medical providers when coordinated care is appropriate.

The goal is care that feels personal, looks natural, and supports health for years to come.

Sharing the oral-systemic connection

In 2011, Dr. Wade and Dr. Kelly Martin coauthored Address the Stress: A Relevant Guide to the Oral Systemic Link. The book reflects an enduring part of her work: helping patients understand that the mouth is connected to the rest of the body and that prevention benefits from collaboration.

Her continuing education has also included the BaleDoneen Method and other areas of oral-systemic health. These studies inform a prevention-minded approach while complementing—not replacing—the care patients receive from their physicians.

Leadership with heart

Across decades in dentistry, Dr. Wade has served as a clinician, practice owner, educator, author, podcast host, and advocate for more connected healthcare. She also understands the demands of family life and the importance of making care feel approachable and genuinely collaborative.

Patients are invited to participate in each decision, ask questions, and understand why a recommendation may support their goals. That partnership remains central to the Stonebriar experience.
