With the summer coming to an end, Stonebriar Smile Design wants to remind you of a few items to do before school starts.

1. Don’t forget to schedule your professional dental cleaning appointment.  Many parents are finding that taking their children out of school for appointments is difficult.  Dr. Jill Wade & Kristi Moody recommend scheduling your professional dental cleanings prior to the first day of school.  This allows for you to find a convenient time and not worry with excused absence from school!

2. Any dental cavities, sealants or other restorative dental work should be completed prior to the first day of school. Every parent has received that call from the school nurse saying your child is sick.  Fortunately, tooth aches are for the most part preventable.  When your dentist diagnosis a dental cavity, this means that there is active decay present in your child’s tooth.  Removing decay at this stage eliminates the dreaded “tooth ache” and possible root canal.  Schedule any dental cavities or restorative dental work needed prior to school beginning so you don’t receive that phone call for a “preventable tooth ache.”

3. Teeth whitening is often a very important procedure high school seniors wish to complete before their many activities and photo opportunities present throughout their senior year of high school! There are several options offered at Stonebriar Smile Design for students to achieve a whiter and brighter smile.

4. Stock up on your whitening products, professional grade toothpaste and electric toothbrush heads prior to heading off back to college.  Many of our college students choose to stock up on their products prior to leaving for school so they do not run out during the course of the semester.  All of our products are available for purchase at the office.

5. Get on our schedule for holiday appointments! These appointment tend to fill-up 6 months in advance.  Many students like to get on a schedule of summer and holiday break for their dental appointments.  These are the most popular appointment times in the practice. Therefore, we recommend you schedule these appointments ahead of time to ensure you have the appointment times convenient to your schedule.

As always, our goal is to provide you with 5 star dental service.  Any questions you may have our professional dental team is ready to answer.  Call today to 469.361.0081 to schedule your dental appointments before the 1st day back to school!
